Aftercare

Dermal Fillers — Aftercare

Your treatment's done. Fillers settle best with a bit of care over the next day or two — here's what to know.

For the first 6 hours

Stay upright — avoid lying flat or bending over.

Avoid touching, pressing or massaging the treated area unless we've shown you a specific technique.

Leave the area clean and makeup-free where possible.

For the first 24–48 hours

Skip strenuous exercise, saunas, steam rooms, hot yoga and very hot showers.

Avoid alcohol, which can increase swelling and bruising.

Avoid extreme heat or cold (including sunbeds and freezing conditions).

Sleep on your back if you can, especially after lip or cheek treatment.

For lip fillers specifically

Expect more swelling in the first 24–48 hours — this is completely normal and settles quickly.

Keep lips well hydrated and avoid strenuous kissing or straws for the first day.

For the first 2 weeks

Avoid facials, laser, microdermabrasion and other facial treatments.

Let us know before any dental work, as it can affect filler in the lower face.

What's normal

Swelling, tenderness, redness or small bruises are common and usually settle within a few days to a week.

You may feel small firm areas as the filler settles — this softens over 1–2 weeks. Gentle massage only if we've advised it.

When You'll See Results

Results are visible immediately, with final results settling within about 2 weeks once any swelling resolves. Depending on the area and product, results typically last 9–18 months.

Your Follow-Up

A review appointment is included around two weeks after treatment so we can check your results and refine if needed.

When to Contact Us

Contact us urgently if you notice severe or increasing pain, blanching (skin turning white or blotchy), a dusky or blue colour, or vision changes — these are rare but need prompt attention. For anything else that concerns you, email info@enassinjectables.co.nz — we reply within 24 hours.
